Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Wassergehaltes in einer allgemeinen Analysenprobe durch Trocknen der Probe in einem Ofen fest. Das Verfahren ist für die Anwendung bei allgemeinen Analysenproben nach CEN/TS 15414-1 geeignet. Es gilt für alle festen Sekundärbrennstoffe. Wenn feste Sekundärbrennstoffe große Mengen an Ölfraktionen enthalten, ist das Karl-Fischer-Verfahren (z. B. ISO 760) empfehlenswert. Andernfalls werden eine niedrigere Temperatur (z. B. 50 °C ± 10 °C) und eine längere Trocknungszeit empfohlen, bis eine konstante Masse erreicht ist.
