Dieser Teil von ISO 22476 behandelt die technischen Grundlagen für die Anforderungen an Messausrüstung, die Durchführung und die Dokumentation der Parameter des Bohrprozesses für geotechnische Zwecke. Die Norm gilt für Vollbohrverfahren mit Kraftdrehkopf, die mit einem Bohrgerät und einer Bohrvorrichtung, vollständig hydraulisch angetrieben, durchgeführt werden. In der Regel wird sie bei Vollbohrverfahren eingesetzt, kann aber auch bei Kernbohrverfahren zum Einsatz kommen. Die Aufzeichnung der Bohrparameter während des Bohrens zur Herstellung von Injektionen, Vernagelungen, Ankern oder Pfählen fällt nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieses Teils von ISO 22476.
