Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Extraktionsverfahren fest, das zur Beurteilung der Wirksamkeit von Ölgewinnungsverfahren durch Vergleich des Ölgehaltes der Ölsamen mit dem Restölgehalt in den jeweiligen Extraktionsschroten, Pellets und Ölkuchen verwendet werden darf. Das Verfahren ist nicht anwendbar auf strittige Fälle, für die ISO 734 anwendbar ist. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar auf Ölsamenschrote, die durch Pressen oder durch Extraktion mit einem Lösemittel aus Ölsamen gewonnen wurden, sowie auf die aus den Rückständen hergestellten Pellets.
