Dieses Dokument legt Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Durchschlagspannung und Spannungsfestigkeit für anodisch erzeugte Oxidschichten auf Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen auf flachen oder nahezu flachen Oberflächen und auf Runddraht fest. Die Verfahren sind auf anodisch erzeugte Oxidschichten anwendbar, die hauptsächlich als elektrische Isolatoren verwendet werden. Die Verfahren sind nicht auf Schichten in der Nähe von Schnittkanten, Lochkanten oder scharfkantigen Winkelübergängen, z. B. an Strangpressprofilen, anwendbar.
