Dieser Teil von ISO 23900 stellt eine Einleitung zu den verschiedenen Teilen von ISO 23900 dar, die Verfahren zum Dispergieren von Pigmenten und Füllstoffen in Kunststoffen zum Bestimmen ihrer Dispergierbarkeit und koloristischen Eigenschaften beschreiben. Verfahren zum Beurteilen der Dispergierbarkeit werden in den Folgeteilen von ISO 23900 beschrieben. Die verschiedenen beschriebenen Prüfverfahren lassen Vergleiche zwischen ähnlichen Pigmenten zu (zum Beispiel zwischen einer Probe und einem vereinbartem Bezugspigment).
