Diese Internationale Norm ist vorgesehen für Lieferanten, Bedienpersonen in Prüfstellen, Bedienpersonen für die Wartung von Flaschen sowie alle Personen, die befugt sind, Ventile aus Gasflaschen zu entfernen. Sie beschreibt Verfahren für das sichere Entfernen von Ventilen aus Gasflaschen, einschließlich Techniken zum Erkennen betriebsunfähiger Ventile. Behandelt werden ausschließlich die Risiken aufgrund von Gas und Gasgemischen unter Druck; andere technische Probleme in Zusammenhang mit dem Entfernen eines Ventils aus einer Gasflasche sind nicht abgedeckt. In Teilen der Gasindustrie sind spezialisierte Ausrüstungen und Verfahren für das sichere Entfernen von Ventilen aus Niederdruck-Gasflaschen unter Druck im Einsatz, z. B.
