Sie gilt für Mineralölprodukte, deren Flammpunkte im offenen Tiegel zwischen 79 °C und 400 °C liegen, mit Ausnahme von Schwerölen, die üblicherweise nach dem Verfahren im geschlossenen Tiegel, das in ISO 2719 beschrieben ist, geprüft werden.
