Dieses Dokument gilt für Zahnseide im Halter, die manuell angewandt wird. Sie gilt nicht für Zahnseide im Halter mit kontinuierlicher Zahnseidenzuführung oder für Halter, in die später Zahnseide eingespannt wird. In diesem Dokument werden keine besonderen qualitativen und quantitativen Anforderungen zum Ausschluss biologischer Risiken gestellt.
