Dieser Teil von ISO 28927 legt ein Laborverfahren zur Messung der Hand-Arm-Schwingungen fest, die an den Handgriffen von handgehaltenen motorbetriebenen Maschinen mit Schlagwerk und mit oder ohne Drehbewegung ż handgehaltene Gesteinsbohrmaschinen, Sacklochbohrmaschinen, Bohrhämmer, Aufbruchhämmer (z. B. für Asphalt oder Beton), Niethämmer, Meißelhämmer, Spatenhämmer u. Ä. ż hervorgerufen werden. Es handelt sich um ein Messverfahren zur Ermittlung der Schwingungskennwerte (Schwingungsemissionswerte) an den Greifstellen der Maschinen, in die ein Einsteckwerkzeug (Einsatzwerkzeug) eingespannt ist.
