Dieser Teil von ISO 28927 legt ein Laborverfahren zur Messung der Hand-Arm-Schwingungen fest, die an den Handgriffen von handgehaltenen motorbetriebenen Bohrmaschinen und Schlagbohrmaschinen hervorgerufen werden. Es handelt sich um ein Messverfahren zur Ermittlung der Schwingungskennwerte (Schwingungsemissionswerte) an den Greifstellen der Bohrmaschine, in die ein Bohrer eingespannt ist. Der Zweck besteht darin, die Kennwerte zum Vergleich verschiedener Modelle derselben Maschinenart zu verwenden. Dieser Teil von ISO 28927 gilt für Bohrmaschinen, die pneumatisch oder auf andere Weise angetrieben werden, in gerader Ausführung, in abgewinkelter Ausführung und für solche mit Pistolengriff zum Bohren (mit und ohne Schlagwerk) von Löchern in Materialien aller Art. Er gilt nicht für Bohrgeräte, die an das Werkstück angeschraubt werden, und nicht für Bohrmaschinen mit Verbrennungsmotor.
