Dieses Dokument legt vier Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Vicat-Erweichungstemperatur (VST) von Thermoplasten fest: - Verfahren A50 mit einer Kraft von 10 N und einer Heizrate von 50 °C/h; - Verfahren B50 mit einer Kraft von 50 N und einer Heizrate von 50 °C/h; - Verfahren A120 mit einer Kraft von 10 N und einer Heizrate von 120 °C/h; - Verfahren B120 mit einer Kraft von 50 N und einer Heizrate von 120 °C/h. Die festgelegten Verfahren sind nur auf Thermoplaste anwendbar, für die sie eine Kennzahl der Temperatur liefern, bei der die Thermoplaste beginnen schnell zu erweichen.
