Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Berstfestigkeit von mit Kautschuk oder Kunststoff beschichteten Textilien mithilfe eines von zwei Arten von Membranberstprüfgeräten, bezeichnet als Typ A und Typ B, die beide mit hydraulischem Druck betrieben werden, fest. Das Prüfgerät Typ A ist für Materialien mit einer Berstfestigkeit zwischen 350 kPa und 5 500 kPa anwendbar. Das Prüfgerät Typ B ist für Materialien mit einer Berstfestigkeit zwischen 70 kPa und 1 400 kPa anwendbar.
