Dieses Dokument legt drei Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Asche von Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) fest. Es wird nach den in ISO 3451-1 angegebenen allgemeinen Verfahren vorgegangen. Bei Asche wird Verfahren A angewendet. Bei Sulfatasche werden Verfahren B und Verfahren C angewendet. Bei Harzen, Mischungen und Fertigteilen sind alle drei Verfahren anwendbar. Bei Anwesenheit von bleihaltigen Verbindungen sind Verfahren B und Verfahren C anwendbar.
