Es wird ein Verfahren zur zerstörungsfreien Messung von Schichtdicken mit Hilfe von Betarückstreu-Messgeräten festgelegt, welches sowohl für metallische als auch für nichtmetallische Schichten auf metallischen und nichtmetallischen Grundwerkstoffen gilt. Um dieses Verfahren anzuwenden, müssen sich die Ordnungszahlen oder die effektiven Ordnungszahlen von Schicht- und Grundwerkstoff um einen hinreichenden Betrag unterscheiden. Diese ÖNORM enthält die Europäische Berichtigung AC:2006 mit der 5.1 und Bild A.1 korrigiert wurden.
