Dieses Dokument legt Standard-Bezugspegel für die Hörschwellenpegel-Skala von Reinton-Luftleitungs-Audiometern fest, um die weltweite Übereinstimmung und Einheitlichkeit in der Angabe der Ergebnisse von Hörschwellenpegel-Messungen zu fördern. Es gibt die Daten in einer solchen Weise an, dass sie bei der Kalibrierung von Audiometern unmittelbar angewendet werden können, d. h. in Form äquivalenter Bezugs-Schwellenschalldruckpegel von in 4.2 festgelegten typischen supra-auralen Kopfhörern, die an einem Ohrsimulator nach IEC 60318-1 gemessen werden, und in Form bauartspezifischer Daten, welche in zwei zusätzlichen Tabellen für akustische Kuppler nach IEC 60318-3 bzw. für Ohrsimulatoren nach IEC 60318-1 angegeben sind. Die Daten beruhen auf der Auswertung von Angaben verschiedener für die audiometrischen Normale verantwortlicher Laboratorien und wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen.
