Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an die Laboratoriumsprüfung des spezifischen Widerstands von besonders vorbereiteten Probekörpern aus Kunststoff fest, die durch den Einschluss von leitfähigen Füllstoffen oder eine geeignete Änderung des Aufbaus leitfähig gemacht wurden. Die Prüfung ist für Werkstoffe mit einem spezifischen Widerstand unter 10^6 Ohmzemtimeter (10^4 Ohmmeter) anwendbar. Wegen der Oberflächenleitung ist das Ergebnis streng genommen kein spezifischer Durchgangswiderstand, jedoch sind die Auswirkungen der Oberflächenleitung im Allgemeinen vernachlässigbar.
