Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen fest für drei Arten von thermoplastischen Schläuchen verstärkt mit einer thermoplastischen Wendel zum Ansaugen und Fördern von Wasser, verdünnten wässrigen Chemikalienlösungen und abrasiven Feststoffen und Schlämmen für den Gebrauch in einem Umgebungstemperaturbereich von -10 °C bis 55 °C. Diese drei Arten von Schläuchen sind anwendbar für leichte, mittlere und schwere Beanspruchungen. Die in dieser Internationalen Norm enthaltenen Schlaucharten sind nicht bestimmt für die Verwendung mit entflammbaren und brennbaren Materialien, sowie mit aromatischen Lösungsmitteln.
