Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des relativen Masseverlustes fest, den ein Metallpulver erfährt, wenn es unter festgelegten Bedingungen in einem Strom von reinem trockenem Wasserstoff erhitzt wird. Zweck dieser Prüfung ist die Bewertung einer chemischen Pulvereigenschaft, die für die pulvermetallurgische Industrie von Bedeutung ist. Die Prüfung ist nicht als Mittel zur Bestimmung des Gehalts an bestimmten Elementen gedacht. Das Prüfverfahren ist anwendbar auf unlegierte, teillegierte und fertiglegierte Pulver der in Tabelle 1 aufgeführten Metalle. Es ist nicht anwendbar auf geschmierte Pulver oder auf Mischungen von Metallpulvern.
