Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstandes geformter Probekörper aus Polypropylen und Propylen-Copolymeren gegen beschleunigte Alterung durch Wärme in Gegenwart von Luft fest, wobei ein Ofen mit Zwangsbelüftung angewandt wird. Mit dem Verfahren wird versucht, die Gebrauchsdauer von aus Propylen hergestellten Kunststoffteilen einzuschätzen. Die nach diesem Verfahren bestimmte Stabilität steht nicht in direktem Verhältnis zur Gebrauchstauglichkeit des Werkstoffes bei Vorherrschen anderer Umgebungsbedingungen.
