Diese Internationale Norm legt das Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Stoßabsorption an Schaumstoffen aus Kautschuk sowie harten und weich-elastischen Schaumstoffen durch Messung der Spitzenverzögerung einer Masse, die auf einen Probekörper fällt, fest. Die Prüfung dient vorzugsweise der Qualitätskontrolle. Im Anhang werden Hinweise gegeben, wie die erhaltenen Prüfergebnisse für Berechnungszwecke zu verwenden sind. Das Prüfverfahren ist ausschließlich für Verpackungsmaterialien anwendbar. Diese ÖNORM enthält die Europäische Änderung A1:2008-08 mit der oberhalb des Anwendungsbereichs eine Warnmeldung aufgenommen, und Änderungen zu Abschnitt 2 und 6.
