Dieses Dokument legt ein spektralphotometrisches Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Stickstoffgehalts in Stahl fest. Das Verfahren ist für die Bestimmung von Massenanteilen von Stickstoff zwischen 0,000 6 % und 0,050 % in niedriglegierten Stählen und zwischen 0,010 % und 0,050 % in hochlegierten Stählen anwendbar. Das Verfahren ist jedoch nicht auf Proben anwendbar, die Siliciumnitrid enthalten. Das Verfahren ist nicht auf Proben mit einem Siliciumgehalt > 0,6 % anwendbar.
