Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Biegefestigkeit von dichten und wärmedämmenden, geformten feuerfesten Erzeugnissen bei Raumtemperatur unter Bedingungen mit gleichmäßiger Steigerung der Belastung fest. Geformte feuerfeste Erzeugnisse sind solche, die bei der Lieferung an den Anwender eine feste Geometrie und feste Maße aufweisen. Dieses Dokument gilt daher für normalgeformte feuerfeste Steine, aber auch für speziell geformte feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und für vorgefertigte Erzeugnisse. Dieses Dokument ist auch anwendbar für ungeformte feuerfeste Erzeugnisse (siehe ISO 1927 6) nach Herstellung der Probekörper nach ISO 1927 5.
