Sie ist anwendbar für Handbrenner zum Schweißen und Erwärmen mit einer nominellen Wärmeleistung bis zu 32 000 kcal/h und Hand- sowie Maschinenschneidbrenner mit einem Schneidbereich bis 300 mm. Diese Internationale Norm gilt nicht für Luftansaugbrenner, die in der ISO 9012 enthalten sind.
