Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Berechnungsverfahren zur Umrechnung von gemessenen stündlichen Wetterdaten als Eingangsgrößen für Energieberechnungen fest, besonders die Berechnung der solaren Bestrahlungsdichte auf einer beliebigen Oberfläche. Ein einfaches Verfahren für die Umrechnung der solaren Bestrahlungsdichte in Beleuchtungsstärke ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Solare Bestrahlungsdichte und Beleuchtungsstärke auf einer beliebigen Oberfläche werden als Eingangsgrößen für Energie- und Tageslichtberechnungen benötigt. In Tabelle 1 ist die relative Position der vorliegenden Norm innerhalb des modularen EPB-Normenpakets dargestellt.
