Dieses Dokument beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Chrom in einer aus Leder erhaltenen wässrigen Lösung. Im vorliegenden Fall handelt es sich um eine Analyse des Gesamtchromgehaltes in Leder, die nicht verbindungsspezifisch oder spezifisch für die Oxidationsstufe ist. Dieses Verfahren beschreibt die Bestimmung von Chrom durch iodometrische Titration und ist vorgesehen für mit Chrom gegerbte Leder, bei denen Chromoxidgehalte von mehr als 0,3 % vermutet werden. Es werden zwei unterschiedliche Verfahren als Alternative zum Erhalt von Chrom in einer geeigneten Lösung beschrieben. Beide Verfahren sind für die Anwendung geeignet.
