Dieses Dokument legt die Maße für eine ungekerbte Probe aus Sintermetallen für den Schlagzähigkeitsversuch fest. Der Probekörper darf direkt durch Pressen und Sintern oder durch mechanische Bearbeitung eines gesinterten Teiles hergestellt werden. Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für alle Sintermetalle und Legierungen, ausgenommen Hartmetalle. Bei bestimmten Werkstoffen (z. B. Werkstoffen mit geringer Porosität oder hoher Duktilität) kann die Verwendung einer gekerbten Probe geeigneter sein, da in diesem Fall Ergebnisse mit geringerer Streuung zu erwarten sind (siehe hierzu ISO 148-1).
