ÖNORM EN ISO 6149-2 legt Maße, Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Einschraubzapfen und richtungseinstellbare Einschraubzapfen, schwere Reihe (S-Reihe) mit metrischem Gewinde und für O-Ringe fest. Einschraubzapfen nach ÖNORM EN ISO 6149-2 dürfen bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 63 MPa (630 bar) und richtungseinstellbare Einschraubzapfen bis 40 MPa (400 bar) verwendet werden. Der zulässige Arbeitsdruck ist abhängig von der Größe des Einschraubzapfens, den Werkstoffen, Konstruktion, Betriebsbedingungen, dem Anwendungsfall usw. Eine Übereinstimmung mit den Maßangaben in ÖNORM EN ISO 6149-2 stellt keine Gewährleistung für die Nennleistung dar. Jeder Hersteller sollte die Prüfungen nach den in dieser Norm enthaltenen Festlegungen durchführen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Bauteile den Leistungsangaben entsprechen.
