Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Beständigkeit von Beschichtungen, Beschichtungssystemen und ähnlichen Produkten unter Kondensationsbedingungen fest, entsprechend den Anforderungen in Beschichtungs- oder Produktspezifikationen. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar bei Beschichtungen sowohl auf porösen Substraten wie Holz, Gips und Gipskarton, als auch auf nichtporösen Substraten wie Metallen. Es gibt Hinweise, wie sich die Beschichtung unter strengen Beanspruchungsbedingungen verhalten wird, bei denen kontinuierliche Kondensation auf der Oberfläche auftritt. Das Verfahren kann Beschichtungsfehler (wie Blasenbildung, Verfärbung, Erweichen, Runzelbildung und Versprödung) und eine Schädigung des Substrates aufdecken.
