Dieser Teil von ISO 6272 legt ein Prüfverfahren zum Bewerten des Widerstandes einer Beschichtung aus einem Beschichtungsstoff gegen Rissbildung oder Ablösen von einem Substrat fest, wenn die Beschichtung unter Normbedingungen durch einen fallenden Körper mit 20 mm Durchmesser verformt wird. Das hier beschriebene Prüfverfahren kann angewendet werden entweder als Ja/Nein-Prüfung mit einer festgelegten Fallhöhe und Masse, um die Übereinstimmung mit einer bestimmten Spezifikation zu prüfen; oder als Einstufungstest zum Bestimmen der Mindestmasse und/oder Mindestfallhöhe, bei der die Beschichtung zu reißen oder sich abzulösen beginnt, durch stufenweises Erhöhen der Masse und/oder Fallhöhe.
