Dieses Dokument legt zwei Verfahren (A und B) fest, um die linearen dynamisch-mechanischen Eigenschaften von Kunststoffen zu bestimmen, und zwar die Speicher- und Verlustkomponenten des Torsionsmoduls als Funktion der Temperatur für kleine Verformungen im Frequenzbereich von 0,1 Hz bis 10 Hz. Die beiden beschriebenen Verfahren sind nicht anwendbar auf unsymmetrische Laminate (siehe ISO 6721-3). Die Verfahren sind nicht geeignet zur Prüfung von Elastomeren. Hierzu wird auf ISO 4664-2 verwiesen.
