Dieses Dokument legt drei Verfahren zur Messung der Gesamtdicke und der Deckplattendicke von Stahlseil-Fördergurten fest. Die Verfahren A1 und A2 (Verfahren mit Bügelmessschraube) können für alle Stahlseil-Fördergurte sowohl zur Messung der Gesamtdicke der Gurte als auch der Deckplattendicke angewendet werden. Verfahren B (optisches Verfahren) ist nur zur Messung der Deckplattendicke vorgesehen. Es ist nicht geeignet, wenn ein textiler oder metallischer Schuss (Querlage) vorhanden ist, noch wenn die Stahlseilenden beim Schneiden verdreht werden.
