Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen für vier Klassen von textilverstärkten, thermoplastischen faltbaren Wasserschläuchen für allgemeine Anwendungen in einem Temperaturbereich von -10 °C bis 55 °C fest. Solche Schläuche werden wie folgt eingeordnet in vier Klassen: - Niederdruck, ausgelegt für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 0,4 MPa (4,0 bar) bei 23 °C und bis zu 0,2 MPa (2,0 bar) bei 55 °C; - Mitteldruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 0,7 MPa (7,0 bar) bei 23 °C und bis zu 0,36 MPa (3,6 bar) bei 55 °C; - Hochdruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 1,0 MPa (10,0 bar) bei 23 °C und bis zu 0,51 MPa (5,1 bar) bei 55 °C; - Extra-Hochdruck, für einen maximalen Betriebsdruck bis zu 1,55 MPa (15,5 bar) bei 23 °C und bis zu 0,79 MPa (7,9 bar) bei 55 °C. Diese Internationale Norm gilt nicht für Produkte zur Verwendung bei der Brandbekämpfung oder den Transport von Trinkwasser.
