Diese Internationale Norm definiert für Ferronickellose, die in Form von Schrot entsprechend der Festlegung in ISO 6501 vorliegen, für diejenigen Fälle ein Verfahren der Probenahme für die Analyse, in denen die Lose entweder schmelzenweise oder durch Entnahme vom gemischten Vorrat zusammengestellt werden. Der Zweck besteht darin, die Gehalte der verschiedenen Elemente zu bestimmen - entweder an Rohbarren nach physikalischen Analyseverfahren (z. B.
