Es ist anwendbar für Maß-, Form- und Lagetoleranzen von nach verschiedenen Gießverfahren hergestellten Gussstücken aus allen metallischen Gusswerkstoffen und deren Legierungen. Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar für 3D-CAD-Modelle, die ohne Maßangaben verwendet werden. Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar für allgemeine Maß-, Form- und Lagetoleranzen (angegeben im oder nahe am Zeichnungsschriftfeld der Zeichnung) falls nichts anderes festgelegt ist und wo besonders in der Zeichnung auf Hinweise von Abschnitt 11 Bezug genommen wird. Die in diesem Dokument enthaltenen Maßtoleranzen sind Toleranzen für Längenmaße.
