Dieses Dokument legt die Geometrien und Maße der Buckel für Buckelschweißungen mit geprägten Buckeln fest. Es enthält in Anhang B auch die entsprechenden Werkzeuge für die Herstellung der Buckel. Die Buckel werden einzeln, vielfach oder als Gruppe von Vielfachen bei warmgewalzten, kaltgewalzten, unbeschichteten und beschichteten Stählen, nichtrostenden Stählen und Nickellegierungen herkömmlicher Schweißeignung bis zu 3 mm Dicke angewendet. Massive Buckel werden in diesem Dokument nicht behandelt.
