Die an Werkstoffe und Gebrauchseigenschaften gestellten Anforderungen für Tafelgeräte und dekorative Hohlwaren sowie gegossenes Zubehör aus Metallen, die leicht versilbert und mit Lack geschützt sind, werden festgelegt. Diese ÖNORM gilt für Gegenstände wie Krüge, Schalen, Weinkühler, Tee- und Kaffeekannen, Tabletts und Suppenschüsseln. Die Anforderungen gelten für Gefäße aus Messing, Kupfer, Bronze, Neusilber, Zinn und nichtrostenden Stahl mit leichter Versilberung und Lackschicht, jedoch gilt diese ÖNORM nicht für Gefäße, die vollständig aus Edelmetallen, Messing, Neusilber, nichtrostendem Stahl oder Keramik, Glas, rostendem Stahl oder Zinkdruckguss hergestellt sind. Die Grenzwerte der Zusammensetzung sind für Grundmetalle zur Herstellung der Gefäße vor der Versilberung und Lackierung festgelegt.
