Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren für einen Ringzugversuch für Rohre fest, der der Feststellung von Oberflächen- und Innenfehlern durch Beanspruchung eines Probekörpers bis zum Bruch dient. Diese Prüfung darf auch zur Bewertung der Dehnbarkeit von Rohren angewendet werden. Der Ringzugversuch gilt für Rohre mit einem Außendurchmesser von mehr als 150 mm und einer Wanddicke von höchstens 40 mm. Der Innendurchmesser muss größer als 100 mm sein.
