Es wurde beschlossen, dass die Europäische Norm EN ISO 8501-2:2001 nicht in gedruckter/elektronischer Form herausgegeben wird, sondern durch eine Anerkennungsnotiz und Veröffentlichung dieses ÖNORM Deckblattes in das Österreichische Normenwerk übernommen wird (dieses Dokument hat nur 5 Seiten). Den Originaltext, (ein Buch im Format A5) - die ISO 8501-2:1994 - können Sie bei Austrian Standards beziehen. Das Dokument legt eine Reihe von Oberflächenvorbereitungsgraden von Stahloberflächen nach dem Entfernen vorhandener Beschichtungen fest. Die einzelnen Oberflächenvorbereitungsgrade sind durch Beschreibungen definiert. Zusätzlich sind photographische Vergleichsmuster als Beispiele für die Oberflächenvorbereitungsgrade P SA 2 ˝ und P MA enthalten.
