Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von Zylinderkerbstiften mit Einführende und durchgehenden Rautekerben (mit geschlossenem Ende auf der Einführseite), aus Stahl und nichtrostendem Stahl und mit Nenndurchmessern von 1 mm bis 25 mm fest. Diese Kerbstifte sind so ausgelegt, dass sie die folgende Hauptfunktion ausführen: zwei oder mehr Teile kraftschlüssig miteinander verbinden, mit einfachstem Einbau (durch das Einführende) und mit höchster Auszugsfestigkeit (durch das elastische Passverhalten des Stifts). Die allgemeinen Anforderungen (einschließlich Grundlagen hinsichtlich der Funktion für Kerbstifte und Zusammenbau) sind in ISO 13669 festgelegt.
