Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von Knebelkerbstiften mit kurzen ovalen Kerben (mit geschlossenen Enden) aus Stahl und nichtrostendem Stahl und mit einem Nenndurchmesser von 1 mm bis 25 mm fest. Diese Kerbstifte sind so ausgelegt, dass sie die folgenden Hauptfunktionen ausführen: - relative Drehung der zusammengefügten Teile, und - Positionierung oder Führung; mit einem einfachen Einbau (durch deren symmetrische Form) und mit einer mittleren Auszugsfestigkeit (durch das elastische Passverhalten des Stifts). Die allgemeinen Anforderungen (einschließlich Grundlagen hinsichtlich der Funktion für Kerbstifte und Zusammenbau) sind in ISO 13669 festgelegt.
