Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von Kegelkerbstiften mit durchgehenden progressiven Kerben (mit geschlossenen Enden an der Einführseite) aus Stahl und nichtrostendem Stahl und mit einem Nenndurchmesser 1 mm bis 25 mm fest. Diese Kerbstifte sind so ausgelegt, dass sie die folgenden Hauptfunktionen ausführen: zwei oder mehr Teile kraftschlüssig miteinander verbinden, mit einem einfachen Einbau (durch deren Form) und mit hoher Auszugsfestigkeit (durch das elastische Passverhalten des Stifts). Die allgemeinen Anforderungen (einschließlich Grundlagen hinsichtlich der Funktion für Kerbstifte und Zusammenbau) sind in ISO 13669 festgelegt.
