Die Pigmente werden dazu nach einem der Vefahren, die in ÖNORM ISO 8780 beschrieben sind, dispergiert. Dieser Teil sollte zusammen mit ÖNORM ISO 8780-1 gelesen werden. Das Verfahren dient im allgemeinen dazu, ähnliche Pigmente, wie zB eine Probe mit einem vereinbarten Bezugspigment, zu vergleichen.
