Dieser Teil von ISO 9241 stellt Empfehlungen auf zur Verminderung der potentiellen Sehbeschwerden sowie der visuellen Ermüdung, die bei der Betrachtung stereoskopischer Bilder unter festgelegten Sehbedingungen erlebt werden. Visuelle Ermüdung und Beschwerden könnten durch einen stereoskopischen optischen Reiz ungleicher Bilder hervorgerufen werden, die binokular gezeigt werden. Dieser Teil von ISO 9241 ist ebenso anwendbar auf Endprodukte stereoskopischer Darstellungen, die abhängig sind vom stereoskopischen Bildinhalt und von stereoskopischen Displays, wenn diese unter angemessenen, festgelegten Bedingungen betrachtet werden.
