Dieser Teil der ISO 9377 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Kohlenwasserstoff-Index in Wasser mittels Gaschromatographie fest. Das Verfahren ist für Trink- und Oberflächenwasser, Kläranlagenabläufe sowie Abwässer geeignet und erlaubt die Bestimmung des Kohlenwasserstoff-Index in Konzentrationen oberhalb 0,1 mg/l. Das Verfahren ist nicht geeignet für die quantitative Bestimmung von flüchtigen Mineralölbestandteilen. Auf der Basis einer Peakmustererkennung kann eine qualitative Information zur Zusammensetzung der Mineralölbelastung erhalten werden. ANMERKUNG 1 Zur Bestimmung von Mineralöl in Böden und Sediment siehe ISO/TR 11046. ANMERKUNG 2 Die Massenkonzentration an tierischen und pflanzlichen Fetten in der Wasserprobe sollte 150 mg/l nicht überschreiten, da bei höheren Werten die Adsorptionskapazität des Florisils überschritten wird. ANMERKUNG 3 Bei stark belasteten Abwässern, insbesondere bei hohen Tensidgehalten ist mit Minderbefunden zu rechnen.
