Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt die Anforderungen an alterungsbeständiges Papier für Schriftgut und Druckerzeugnisse. Sie ist für unbedruckte Papiere anwendbar. Sie ist nicht für Pappen anwendbar. ANMERKUNG 1 Die Begriffe żPapierż und żPappeż sind in ISO 4046 3 definiert. Dieses Dokument ist nicht für die Beurteilung der Alterungsbeständigkeit von Papieren vorgesehen, die unter schädlichen Bedingungen aufbewahrt werden. Zu diesen zählen hohe Luftfeuchte, welche den mikrobiologischen Angriff begünstigen kann, starke Hitze, Strahlung (Licht oder andere), hohe Konzentrationen an atmosphärischen Schadstoffen oder Einfluss von Wasser. ANMERKUNG 2 Weitere Informationen zu internationalen Normen über die Alterungsbeständigkeit von Papier (ISO 9706), über die Alterungsbeständigkeit und hohe mechanische Belastbarkeit von Archivpapier (ISO 11108) sowie über die Stabilität von Papier für allgemeine, grafische Anwendungen (ISO 20494) können Anhang D entnommen werden.
