Dieses Dokument legt ein im Labor ohne großen Aufwand durchführbares Klassifizierungsverfahren für den Vergleich des relativen Brandverhaltens von vertikal ausgerichteten, dünnen und relativ biegsamen Probekörpern aus Kunststoff fest, die mit einer kleinen Zündquelle beflammt werden. ANMERKUNG Diese Probekörper können nicht nach IEC 60695-11-10:2013, Verfahren B, geprüft werden, da sie sich während der Beflammung verdrehen oder schrumpfen, ohne sich zu entzünden. Mit diesem Prüfverfahren werden die Nachbrenn und Nachglimmzeiten von Probekörpern bestimmt. Das in Anhang A beschriebene Klassifizierungssystem ist zur Qualitätskontrolle und zur Vorauswahl von Werkstoffen für Bestandteile von Produkten vorgesehen. Die mit diesem Prüfverfahren ermittelte Klassifizierung gilt nur für den für den Probekörper verwendeten Werkstoff. ANMERKUNG Die Prüfergebnisse werden durch Werkstoffbestandteile, z. B. Pigmente, Füllstoffe und Feuerschutzmittel, beeinflusst.
