Diese Internationale Norm gilt für die Anforderungen der Klasse 111 an einstufige oder mehrstufige Kreiselpumpen in horizontaler oder vertikaler Bauart (mit Kupplung oder als Blockpumpe) mit beliebigem Antrieb und beliebigem Einbau für allgemeine Zwecke. Diese Internationale Norm schließt Ausführungsmerkmale ein, soweit sie sich auswirken auf Aufstellung, Wartung und Betriebssicherheit der Pumpe, einschließlich Grundplatte, Kupplung und Hilfsrohrleitungen, jedoch ohne Antriebsmaschine, sofern diese nicht Teil der Pumpe ist. Wenn diese Internationale Norm anzuwenden ist a) und eine bestimmte Ausführung gefordert wird, können alternative Ausführungen angeboten werden, sofem sie den Festlegungen dieser Internationalen Norm genügen und die Alternativen im einzelnen beschrieben werden. b) können auch Pumpen angeboten werden, die nicht mit allen Anforderungen dieser Internationalen Norm übereinstimmen, vorrausgesetzt, daß alle Abweichungen genannt werden.
