Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung flüchtiger organischer Verbindungen (VOC, en: volatile organic compounds) in der Innenraumluft sowie in der Luft von Prüfkammern und Prüfzellen zur Ermittlung der Emission aus im Innenraum (nach ISO 16000-1) verwendeten Produkten und Materialien fest. Das Verfahren basiert auf der Verwendung von Sorptionsröhrchen mit anschließender thermischer Desorption (TD) und gaschromatographischer (GC) Analyse, wobei eine Kapillarsäule und ein massenspektrometrischer (MS) Detektor mit oder ohne zusätzlichem Flammenionisationsdetektor (FID) eingesetzt werden. Das Verfahren eignet sich für Messungen der meisten GC-kompatiblen gasförmigen organischen Verbindungen im Massenkonzentrationsbereich von Mikrogramm je Kubikmeter bis hin zu mehreren Milligramm je Kubikmeter. Viele leichtflüchtige organische Verbindungen (VVOC) (en: very volatile organic compounds) und schwerflüchtige organische Verbindung (SVOC) (en: semi-volatile organic compounds) können je nach verwendeten Sorbenzien analysiert werden.
