Dieses Dokument legt zwei Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstandes von Elastomeren gegen Abrieb mit Hilfe eines Gerätes mit rotierender Zylindertrommel fest. Die Verfahren beinhalten die Bestimmung des Volumenverlustes durch den Abrieblauf eines Probekörpers auf einem Schmirgelbogen festgelegter Angriffsschärfe. Verfahren A ist anzuwenden für einen nichtrotierenden Probekörper und Verfahren B für einen rotierenden Probekörper. Bei beiden Verfahren kann das Ergebnis als relativer Volumenverlust oder als Abriebwiderstandsindex angegeben werden.
