This method evaluates the propensity of crankcase oils using the M-B OMB364A diesel engine to resist the formation of deposits and prevent wear encountered during heavy duty, extended oildrain, turbocharged operation; primary results also include piston deposits and cylinder bore polishing. Secondary results include cylinder wear, oil consumption, cam, tappet and bearing condition.
